code p0420

ok, ive got converters on there, ( 1 94106 magnaflow hi flow converter per side) and have a slight leave before the passanger side, but the code reads driver side correct?? should i change my rear oxygen sensor or what the cats arent bad theyve been on there since the summer

exhaust leaks can cause converter codes, and A/F ratio codes

start by fixing the exhaust leak

thats what i thought, but its just now came on, and its on bank 2 not bank 1

you can tap the converter to make sure it still sounds the same, to make sure the guts didnt blow up and out.

Also look for any hairline cracks in the converter housing that could be leaking air.

High flow cats put out P0420 codes because they may not be OBD2 cats. Or you just may need a tune to turn off the CEL. Alot of people get CEL's for high flow cats.
