Side exit

Anyone got any pictures of there truck with duals out theside in front of the rear tire? I'm think about gettin my exhaust redone and bringing it out the side like the lightnings. I'd like to see how it looks on a 97-03 if possible. Also I've heard that this can discolor the wheels. Is this true? Is it enough to worry about?

you mean like this?

if a side exit like this discolors your wheel then you are having some motor issues and should not be driving your truck

good luck man, side pipes on these trucks look so damn awesome!

Tips are SS by Silverline, best tips i've ever had, don't discolor like several Magnaflows i've had 2.5"in x 3.5" out x 18" long

I've heard that the factory exhaust in front of the wheel on the 97s? i believe was discoloring the wheels and thats why they ditched it for the after the wheel exit. i might be wrong though.

that's what people claimed but I've had side exits for over 2 years without issue but I clean my truck on a regular basis unlike a lot of people
most people were probably mistaking brake dust for exhaust "damage"

ya, ditto to Tarajerame. I've had a side exit on my old '93 f150 for 4 years and saw no discoloring and currently on the 2000 for 6mo and same, no discoloring.

I had a Toyota with blown rings that had a side exit exhaust with no cat. converter or muffler. It was loud, obnoxious, and smoked like a grille on Super Bowl Sunday... but it never discolored my wheels. I 3rd tarajerame, more than likely people thought brake dust buildup was actually discoloration from the exhaust.
