Looking for quiet ,inexpensive , exhaust

My brother in law and I were talking abought exhaust the other day and he was saying something about me putting duel exhaust on my truck.. However I am not looking to make my truck loud... More or less looking to letting my truck breath better as he puts it ,, maybe a little extra performance... Do I need duel Pipes or can I simply go to NAPA and get a different Muffler... Everyone of the muffler shops around here keeps talking about my truck will have a low rumbling sound with duel exhaust ( I guess there brand ) but I really just want it quiet and more performance, so they tell me to stay stock then.. Any Options and is it worth it for power , fuel econemy on my fx4 2003 5.4

A really long si/do Magnaflow would be your best bet. The lenght will keep it quiet and the flow threw design will give you a little boost in HP.

You could go with the street legal Roush kit as well. A great kit and not loud at all. A nice tone, but not loud. The 18" magnaflow would also be a nice mellow setup with better flow.

My Heartthrob kit allows for "better breathing" since it's unobstructed. No muffler to get in the way at all. Not too loud, either.

It's a complete package, you pick the exit setup you prefer. (Dual rear exit, side exit, etc..)
