Well last saturday i threw a party at my house here at college. Earlier that day i had my SI/DO Flowmaster 40 put on and combined with my high flows this thing absolutely roars. So i was working the door collecting money and some kid was out there drooling over my truck. So i decided to tell him what was in it and gave him a quick start up and rev. Well, everyone outside the party took notice and the looks of "Holy ****" began flying at me. One thing led to another and i got some funny comments about it within a few minutes.

Keep in mind i have a 4.6, magnaflow high flows, and a 40 series so nothing spectacular. Oh yea, and i go to a school with rich little kids who drive BMW's and mercedes.

"God damn dude, you got a Hemi in that thing?"
"Whats the 0-60 time on that thing??"
"Woah, whats that a V10?"

and last but not least

"Just dont pop the hood on that thing otherwise im gonna cry when i go back to my car"

me and my roomates had a good laugh cause we all know im just running the exhaust on this little 4.6

 

funniest comment--"is that straight piped?"

 

Sounds like rich kids never gone down south. Pretty much all trucks, stangs and camaros sound mean.

 

If its got a V8 and aftermarket exhaust it will always sound good.

My funniest comment was probably, "What Flowmasters is that?"

Was sitting at a light a week after getting the hiflows installed. Guy pulls up in the left turn lane and says, "That v8 sounds good, nice rumble at idle" I said "Thanks, it sounds even better cuz its a 6" His eyes got wide, I just smiled and punched it when the light went green.

 

haha i got a pretty good one. i was driving this girl around and it was her frist time in my truck she goes "Whats wrong with you truck?" i said...nothing why? she says "Because its loud" im like i made it that way i put 500 dollars into it. She says "oh you know how those old POS cars are all rusty and have like the muffler fall out those are the only cars/trucks ive seen loud" ....i replyed with a facepalm because there was no words that could have done anygood here...then i said it helps with gas mileage she goes "how?" i said you wouldnt understand and then i droped her off and died laghing.

Also open cut-outs ive had a few comments from other peoples car alarms

 

"your exhaust woke my mom up when you left last night"

 

haha nice az! ive set my moms car alarm off on her 500 when i left for school one morning lol it wasnt even open cut-outs

ive also gotten the hemi comment and one time i got the "Damn does this thing got a 427 in it?" haha i laghed and i said well take the 2 out and make that 7 a 6 and you got it lol. Then another buddy of mine heard it and said...Jeez B*tch sounds like its got a 5.4 in it!

 

hmm. ive always heard my truck sounded like an old hotrod. i'll have to wait til this summer to hear new comments, up in idaho my truck was mild. now that ive moved and finished the supercharger swap, and considering myself some home made glass packs i just might get some new comments... or tickets.

 

ooo supercharger id have to get a supercharger over a turbo because i love the whine of a supercharger and turbos dont have sound till like 2,000 RPM id get in trouble with a diesel..itd never be under 2,000RPM and itd be pouring black smoke every were! lol

 

ohhhhh nooo!!! bet it sounded ricey when it reved waaayy up there huh

 

Not exhaust but intake.

Was installing my cold air intake when a neighbor walked up (who works at a dealership) and asks: "Wow, where'd you get that supercharger?"

 

The comment wasn't regarding my truck. I have a '69 Cougar with a worked 351W, nice cam, Hooker Super Comp headers and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers - somewhere in the 375-400 hp range.

I was sitting at a light one time and a guy in an Audi next to me asked what I have in it, so I told him it's a 351. He got a big grin on his face and he said "man - you gotta love the sound of a healthy V8"

 

my mom lives in a very quiet neighborhood and i drove to her house one night and her neighbor was walking her dog. when i got out she said "i can always tell when your coming, your truck has a very distinctive sound" i just laughed and said thank you.
