exhaust

i got a flowmaster super 44 on my truck will this increase horsepower tourque and gas milage? it has no tail pipe on it does not having the tail pipe hurt performance or milage? thanks again

You might have gained a little bit of high end horsepower, you most likely lost some low end torque, and you won't notice a difference in gas mileage.

Being dumped has no bearing on performance. Flowmasters have never been known to be good for performance. They sound decent though.

flowmasters will make you lose low end torque due to their chambered design.

if you want torque gains (not a lot, but still some) go with a straight through design.

magnaflow is always a good choice. i have a14" dumped and it sounds better every day now that it is getting broken in, hardly any drone.

everything I have read about Flowmaster leaves me with the conclusion that its just a noise maker, and you actually lose low end torque and HP

so, to answer your question, no performance/gas gains at all from your exhaust. you actually lose a little.
