AEM Intake Cleaning Questions

I have a aem brute force air intake. I bought the truck used and really dont know how long it has been since the dryflow filter has been cleaned. Any idea about how many miles you should by a filter cleaning kit and clean the filter? If so does anybody have any website where i can by the cleaning kit. I also want to get some Black Wow so if the website had both that would be great. I can see dust and some debris when i tap the filter. Could this little bit of dirt on the filter be harming my gas mileage? Thanks for the help.

Every 10k is a god number.

Yes you should buy a cleaning kit that includes the cleaning solution and the oil. It does not need to be brand specific, a K&N kit will be fine.

Modbargains.com would be a great place to buy the cleaning kit, although I am do not know if they have the other product you mentioned.

Yes a dirty filter will play a role into your engines performance and mileage

This kit is an oil free filter. It is the dry flow and if i am not mistaken it does not need oil. Oil supposedly ruins it. Does anyone know if this is correct?
