stock intake question

stock intake question

ok im taking my truck into ford tuesday to get these codes checked out but i need to clean out the entire intake tube what should i do and what should i not do

ok, the 2007 are the square filters arent they? their not the round filters anymore? but how ever it is i would just go to the car was and pay the 75 cents and turn the vacume on and take the filter apart and vacume all the stuff outta there

Unbolt it from the throttle body and unplug the MAF, remove the entire intake and hose it out till it is clean. Allow it time to dry and re-install everything. Sounds like your filter is probably muddy also, might replace that while your at it to remove any trace of mud. Last clean the throttle body with a toothbrush and the appropriate cleaner. That shoud leave little trace of what happened
