Yet another new exhaust system for me

Well I have ran just about any setup you can think when it comes to exhaust on these 04-08 trucks. Finally I have found my favorite. I have Pacesetter long tubes and Hi-flow cats going into a DI/DO OBX muffler. So a dumped true dual system. I know none of y'all have heard of OBX. It's basically a maggie knock off but louder. I would describe it as a mag flowmaster mix. But it sounds EXTREMELY smooth. I couldn't be happier with the sound and performance. It's loud but not stupid loud and sounds great at highway speeds. The price tag is what I liked most. 60 bucks shipped and its stainless. So all of yall who are on the fence check out an OBX. I'll get some clips up soon. I promise you wont be disappointed it has a great tone to it and no HP loss at all. I'll get pics up tomorrow as well

BOO! No pics yet! I bet the headers and hi-flow cats have a hand in making the new mufflers sound so good.

I got my maggies for $55.58 shipped.

I have heard of OBX, and they've been talked about on these forums regarding headers especially.

IMO I'm not going to trust a company that doesn't provide any technical specs, dyno charts, or information about how their products are manufactured and put together. I spent some time on their website and if it's there, it's too hard to find.... or maybe that's their intent?

What turns me off the most, the company tagline "S*** is Good" What a joke.

If it makes you happy, and does what you'd like for it to then two thumbs up for you! I've heard that the OBX mufflers get a LOT louder over time.

LOL.

Its still true dual. two pipes back from the manifolds all the way. It doesnt matter how many mufflers there are.

Wrong. mSall150 hit the nail on the head with his response. Some people say that for it to be true dual it has to be a offroad set-up, ie: no cats.

I never said you did. I'm making the point that a lot of people consider different requirements for the system to be "true dual" ...

It's cool, no need to apologize. In my opinion, for it to be true dual is that the factory Y Pipe is deleted and two pipes are ran off each manifold or header. Regardless the number of mufflers, as long as they enter as two and exit as two, it's true dual.

Wouldn't the Muffler be acting as the x or h pipe at this point?

How so? .. only if it's got an internal X-Pipe. I'm not familiar with the OBX mufflers so I can't say if they are or not.

Well the pipes brings the system together and isn't that what the muffler is doing here.
