Pictures wanted .... exhaust

I was looking to see if anybody had pictures of their truck that has dual exhaust, but has the tips coming out of the side of truck before the back tire, not after it.

I have heard of people doing this and they like, but I have not seen it.

You're going to have trouble running the pipe around the gas tank. Its actualy has to go underneath the gas tank, being totally exposed.

And the location and your tires shouldn't be a problem. It's not like your tips are pointing straight at them. Also, I've seen a few diesels with exhaust exiting infront of the pass. rear tire (not point straight at the tire) and their exhaust gets a lot hotter.

i;ve seen it on other kinds of trucks, its looks ok, kind of "country" in my opinion. i would personally do it after the tires. also mudterrain brings up a good point, you do have a gas tank on that drivers side.

I have the side exit before the rear tire with no problems. It's a little louder in the cab than a rear exit but nothing unbearable. Check my gallery (the little camera icon in the top right corner) for pics. Welcome to the site.

I have a Gibon Super Truck cat-back system. It exits with two tips in front of the rear tire on the passenger side. I love it!

you can kind of see it in this picture:

Are you talking about runing two pipes, one exiting on right side and one on left? I don't have true duals, just dual exits off of a si/do muffler. Mine are run with both exits on the right side before the tire. I haven't noticed any exhaust residue on my tires, thats not to say that it doesn't happen, just haven't noticed any......

Previous posters are right though, would be tricky runing an exit on each side, but it can be done....

May not be exactly what you are talking about, but it would give you a idea at what it may look like.

Usually, I have an opinion on everything. Where you place your exhausts is a matter of taste. Do whatever you like. None of the ways really look bad.

roush, slp, MAC, gibson, and magnaflow all offer kits that exit dual out infront of the RR tire.
