K&N CAI help

right off the bat you can feel the difference in power but on mine now its not shifting until it gets up to like 4500 RPM and its making a weird noise when i go fast like on the freeway

i have it installed right, idk is there something i missed? do i need to reset anything? maybe pull the battery for 10 minutes?

If the weird noise is a drone or vibration, some have gotten that and if everything is tight, it sometimes takes custom tunes to eliminate it. If it is pinging from the engine, you're running lean.

theres no pinging and its more like a drone

but still why is it shifting that high? i think the drone is because its not shifting because when i stay below like 2500 RPM it sounds fine

I have no idea why it would alter shift patterns.

You can try and reset the computer by unplugging the battery for 10-15 min to let it relearn shift points, but the intake shouldnt really have any effect on shift points but its worth a try

let it sit for awhile, still nothing. ill try leaving it unplugged all night. if nothing then ill put back on the stock one and see if that still happens

Wth this is driving me crazy, I didn't touch anything installing it.

I didn't disconnect the negative battery cable but I don't think it would matter because I didn't touch anything?

There has to be some reason for it not shifting. Its actually about 4000 RPM's before it shifts not 4500

Any other ideas?
