Airaid MIT Tube Worth it??

Does anyone have this tube on there 5.4L 3V?

I have an AFE drop in and don't want a full blown CAI, but was looking at this tube for a little extra ooomph.

Just curious if anyone has it and likes it...

I think it is, if only to clean up the engine bay. I'll be getting one soon.

And if you do get one, get it directly from Airaid. Free shipping.

I've had that Tube for about 2 yrs now . with no complaints.

It really does clean up the engine bay and I seem to feel like it gave just a lil bit more power.

I would buy this product again

dude, you can make your own with your existing intake tube
1st:cut the bladders off, clean, with the pipe, then clean all the burs off

2nd:take a thin ply-able plastic binder "like from a code book"cut pieces to cover the holes ,use black duct tape to fasten it. then take heat resistant
tape wrap the hole tube followed buy black duct tape.

3rd:yank the tube out of the fender wall, then purchase either a 3"pvc clean out tee or coupling place it to the the intake tube then the other end 3" PVC out the fender wall ,wrap the end in foam tape for cushioning, then paint it black.
the option with the cleanout tee is for a ram air tube that u run 3" drain tile screw it in the clean-out tee part, run it down to the tow hook, fasten it with big black zip tie's. even with the material you have to buy it's still cheaper than that ariad tube, i had all the material sitting in my garage an was board one day an this is what i came up with.

I've had since the truck was almost new. It works well and certanly cleans up things under the hood.

If your time is worth anything to you just by it and put it on instead of cobbing some POS out of duct tape.

thats the Airaid Jr, I don't have it but it definitely looks A-OK and it doesn't mess with A/F ratios

since my AF1 I can actually see the oil filter from the top

I had it on my 2006 F150 before I put the S&B full intake on. I felt a power increase and an increase in mileage. It's not as much as a full intake.

hey it works for me, the only pos is your attitude. not everybody has money to **** in the wind, which in my opion, the air raid jr is. mine doesn't look cobbled, I'd post a picture but can't figure out how to transfer it from my computer. besides take it off road a couple of times an that under the hood s**t won't look band new any more, it's not a show truck, if it were i wouldn't put an air raid jr on it.https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=10604 here's a picture.
