Im not usually one to suggest a search, but you would find more info with a search, than what people are gonna reply.
I've used them before though, and if you want a loud exhaust, then they will work. But just hacking off the mufflers would probably work just as good.

with cutting the stock muffler out and puting in the glasspack will it sound loud at idle too or only when you accellerate? and if i were to put one in would it be ok to put exhaust clamps in or would it be better to weld it in?

exhaust clamps will work fine, then if u want to put your muffler back on or change it up a little someday you wont have to hassle with cutting it off again.

Youtube videos aren't really that great for something like this. Most of the time people are recording their exhaust sound clips with a $200 camera, it's not going to record the sound like you'd hear it in person. It can give you a rough idea though. Keep in mind though, modular motors sound completely different than the rest. So try to find a modular motor running that set-up otherwise you're going in blind.

actually i just had mine installed with 45 angled pipes and silverline tips looks and sounds amazing, and it sounds nothing like a tractor at idle.

and as for the clamps, it depends on whether or not you are going to be doing any offroading. on my old flowmaster system(pictured), which was on the truck when i bought it, they used clamps and rubber hangers which werent cutting it offroad. so with the glass pack, they welded everything and it is much more secure.

I have a 4.2 L on my 2005 with a Thrush glasspack and at idle and cruise, it's louder than it was OEM, but it's really quiet. But at acceleration it's loud as hell, I love it, but I got pulled over twice in one week after I got it. I suggest to get one.

My friend has true duals with 18" Flowtech glasspacks on his 5.4L. Sounds pretty tame at idle, but he gets on it, it's got a nice deep and loud rumble. It has some drone on the highway though (resonance from the mufflers themselves) as they're right under the rear of the cab.

It's a good sound for as cheap as they are...
