Header Questions!

Hi,
I have been around for a little while and I have fairly good mechanical skills. My question is: Can I get a set of aftermarket headers that will bolt up to my my exsisting exhaust set up? I will eventually when money allows switch out for high flow cats as well. And would long tube or short tube headers work better for an 05 5.4l 3v. Thanks for the help guys!

I know that most of the shorty headers if not all of them bolt up directly to your existing exhaust setup (stock). Everyone on here will be after you pretty quick about how big of a waste of money they are though, they all say go long tubes or go home.. Built54 is especially known for this since he has had the experiance with exhaust.. He said that with the shorties he gained nothing but with the long tubes he gained about 30-35HP and 30-35TQ something like that, cant remember the exact numbers but they were in the 30's.. The only thing I think you really gain from shorty headers is a little better flow and more of a rumble in tone.. Good luck with your purchase!!

EDIT: I'm sure other people will chime in here and give you a little better info then me.. But if you have the money I would say get some long tubes.. Pacesetter headers are pretty cheap and people on here seem to like them, and on the other hand the best you could buy would be dynatech's!

Like was said above.
Get long tube headers or no headers!
And the long tubes will not bolt up to your stock system,,,without modifications.
