Battery Box CAI

For those of you that have an aftermarket (or homemade) intake system but, want a CAI (cold air intake). http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3065056/4

That is awesome.

Although, I wonder if a cooler might keep the inside cooler with the insulation.

As a side note, if the box was a little bigger, you could throw a couple of those blue gel packs that you can freeze (do they still make them, you put them in lunch boxes), and viola, instant true cold air for however long that packs last frozen.... Hmm...I think I might do that.

Hmm... maybe a little more searching could yield something a little bigger. Then, maybe add some insulation on the outside, and strap some of the gel packs inside. Yeeesss...I see a weekend project in the future.

I'll be trying this out this weekend, just gotta figure out how to get the top of the box to fit the contours of the hood.

The problem was I could find one the right size on the outside but, the inside would be to small. I assume because of the insulation.

I figured out my contours by using sidewalk chalk. Rub the chalk on top of the box. When you bring down the hood and let it rest on top of the box, the chalk rubs off onto the bottom of the hood. Use these markings to start your cuts into the battery box.
