Question Throttle Body Spacer

I have an 07 f150 with the 5.4 engine. I have recently installed the k&n 77 series intake and have liked the results. I have been hearing mixed rumors about adding a throttle body spacer to add more performance. To me, I would think that it wouldn't make a difference. Anyone have any info on the spacer?

Doesn't work how they claim or as well, but I have installed some and saw small gains, nothing like it claimed though.

That is what I thought, it just didn't seem that spacer would provide an adequate amount of performance boost. Thanks for the replies and confirming my gut instinct!
