It will get a little louder, I loved my 4" tips over the 3.5" when I had a si/do flowbastard.

Well when I got my truck dualed, the exhaust mechanic wanted me to come out and listen with no tips and a tip on...HUGE difference in tone. Really made the whole point of dualing an exhaust with big tips.

If you take off two cats and make it like the 05 and up that only come with 2 then it will be. My truck is just as loud as the chevy's and dodges.

I just swapped out my 3" x 18" chrome slash cut tips for the same in 4"x24". Has a deeper tone at idle and a little louder when you get on it. Not enough to really matter.

Its and auto, and your right it chirps second. My mods are superchips tuner, exhaust, and e-fans. Also I am on a 3.55 rear end and running 265/70/17 10ply tires that way 40lbs each on stock wheels.

You might check but i am prett sure you will pass emissions after taking it down to 2 cats.
