What series flowmaster?

I want to get a flowmaster single in, dual out dumped put on my truck. I have always gotten a better deal by buying the muffler myself online and then having it put on at a mufflershop. What series flowmaster do I need to get? Also what size should the inlet and outlets be?

Thanks

Josh

Most people on here don't recommend Flowmaster as more torque has been gained by using Magnaflow mufflers. That being said, get whatever you want and like. 3" SI/2.5"DO. You might want to check out the Roush Off Road System as it's sort of what you're after except it's not dumped (but could be if you have a sawzall) and sounds amazing. Also, you can't buy those mufflers seperate. They only come as a kit. Roush mufflers are made by Borla as well so it's top quality. Ask anyone and they will tell you it's worth the money for the sound alone.

Well their loudest mufflers would b one of the 40 series. The new 44 would be the loudest and most aggressive and the super 40 would pretty much be equally loud with less interior resonance. The original 40 is in between the two. The 50 series mufflers aren't very loud but sound nice. IMO Flowmaster sounds the best but theres a ton of different opinions on this matter.

Good luck

10 series or outlaw race mufflers would be the loudest. Also look at the Cherry Bomb Extreme or Dynomax Bullet

What would be the point of dual outlet if your just going to dump it? Also the 10 series flowmaster is nice and loud. I have that on my 4.0l jeep. All I can say is loud, I couldn't imagine it on a v-8 dumped. You probably could talk to anyone inside the cab of the truck.

Almost identical to the flows, but for $30+ cheaper.

if by resonate you mean drone, it will some. On my 93 5.0 f150 it was very deep and loud, was mad at myself for not doing it sooner

If you do a lot of uphill driving it will drone a lot. My super44 sounds great and is quite loud, but drones when going over the grade to Tahoe and to my ranch. For that reason i am replacing it with a Roush Offroad muffler.
