Anyone used summit brand headers?

Currently I'm running all stock except for a dynomax catback. I'm thinking buying the summit headers then gutting the pre-cats AND cats, or maybe just the pre-cats... Of course, I'm looking for suggestions here regarding sound, backpressure, smelling like exhaust fumes all of the time, etc...

I purchased a set of Summit Headers when I had my 2000 4.6L. The headers were actually "Pacesetter" brand headers. The price was right; however, I shipped them back and ordered a set of Gibson Headers because the Summit/Pacesetter type looked of a low quality product (coating was a high temp paint). Good luck...

If the concern is for looks I don't really care... I just want to let the engine breathe a bit more and get good bang-for-buck power.

sorry for posting in the wrong section... can a mod please move to aftermarket?

I picked up a set of 1500 mile used pacesetters for $40 and they just sat in my garage. They looked to be ok, not the best quality but def. a increase over stock. I sold them for $40 and was just glad to get rid of them. I would suggest, IF THE BUDGET ALLOWS, get the pacesetter quick trip LT's.
