Banks monster or roush off road exhaust?
Banks monster or roush off road exhaust?
Looking for opinions on which is the better exhaust for my 04 Supercrew, a Banks monster dual exhaust or a Roush off road? Installation, performance, sound??
Thanks
Thanks
My ROR was simple to install, is made totally of 304 stainless so it will never rust, and the sound is truly amazing! Do a search and you'll find even more opinions just like mine about the Roush Off Road exhaust.
Installation and performance will be about the same. The ROR will have a stronger following so you'll get more responses on that system. As far as sound, ROR has a louder/deeper sound. That's not to say the Banks system doesn't sound good, but from what most people have said...it's quieter than the ROR. Like Stealth said, the ROR is 304 stainless and the Banks is 409...I won't get into a pissing contest over which one is better, so you'll have to decide that one.
I got the Banks Monster . (single ) If I went with duals ? I think I'd go with Roush . Provided, That the Roush has single in and dual out. With the Banks its single in single out then a y . I really didn't like that set-up ,seemed a bit Cheezzzzzzzzzzy!!

Don't let the description of the 409 deter you though....I had a Magnaflow catback and X-pipe on my Cobra for almost 2 years (Magnaflow uses 409). At first I used it as my daily driver, but it eventually became my weekend car. When I sold it the exhaust had a tarnished color to it, but was still in excellent condition.
2005 Ford F150 exhaust...
I have a 2005 5.4L V8 Ford F150 and im lookin at putting on a roush off-road system on it. Does the system allow you to keep the catlytic converter or will i need to take that off in the installtion? i know that it will mess up my o2 sensors in my engine...
It does not touch the cats at all, its just Y pipe & back. Cat removal is illegal in all 50 states.
Woodhouse store is $470 + $70 shipping = $540 shipped.

I'm looking into getting the roush-offroad-exhaust system for my truck. ive got the 5.4 king ranch...I dont know much about trucks, but i was talking to one of my buddies about exhaust and they were saying get a catback exhaust....Ive heard the roush exhaust and its simply amazing so im hoping to get that....Now, someone was telling me that if its not catback exhaust it will mess up my O2 sensors...what are the effects of that? what all will i have to do to install this exhaust system without messing up my truck and messing up ride quality..
Im a n00b so i really dont know too much...thanks for any and all help...i dont have PM messages yet so any replies on here are well appreciated
