Borla Muffler Q's

Hello

Iam looking to install a muffler soon and I am leaing towards the Borla muffler. Just wondering what type everybody is using? Is it the ProXS series Muffler? Also what is the cabin noise like with these mufflers? I don't want anything that will drone inside the cabin.

I have a 2005 Screw, 5.4L

Hey Jeff, I'm running the Borla 140136 SI/SO on my '05 4.6L Screw and I love it. I think that's just what you're looking for. Nice gain in highway mpg, nice deep rumble, no drone in the cab.

Borla is the highest quality exhuast, you must already know that... it's a bit more $ than most others..

I'd say this as well.. if you do go with the Borla, or Magnaflow, don't judge the sounds by how it is when you first install the thing.. give it a couple thousand miles, it'll get louder..

I thought my Borla was too quiet to begin with.. Now I think it's perfect..

Between the two - Magnaflow/Borla as far as quality, I have to say the Borla is much better in it's construction. Couldn't believe my Magnaflow leaked @ the factory seam. They do not weld them in this location. Borla does.

The Magnaflow sounded good at first. - After , I took it in to get there muffler finished for them

Now, It performs great! - Just not the sound I was looking for.

Hope this helps.

Heres what the Magnaflow sounded like after the leak was fixed - I liked the sound then. - It sort of had a nice characteristic in it's sound at first. As time went on, that disappeared and it's just loud now - best I can descride it.

Hey thanks for the replys. I think I am going to get the Borla in the next couple of days. I was thinking the center in/dual out and have both the tail pipes come out behind the right rear tire.
