Angry Disappointed on the super 44.....

I got my true dual super 44 with an H-pipe system put on 3 weeks ago and my truck sounds the same as my SI/DO 40 series. I also got a Airraid CAI.

i got the H-pipe put on close to the cats and my two mufflers closest to the back, about 2 1/2 feet away from my tips.

im thinking maybe my cats or headers are bad or something i got 123,000 miles on my 04 f150 5.4 FX4.

Should i get some Magnaflow HFC or some JBA or OBX headers? Want my truck to be loud as hell. But without removeing the exhuast i have now.

All I have on my 98 5.4 f150 is one super 44 with two tips coming out the back and my truck is pretty loud. I mean its not the loudest because I used to have a straight pipe with a resonator and damn that was loud.

I put the Magnaflow high flow cats on my truck and I love the sound. If you are on the fence about doing the high flows I say do it.

I have Super 44's on my Mustang with Hedman headers, custom H-Pipe and 2 1/2 in. pipe. And it's loud and throaty, a LOT louder than the 40 si/do I had on my old '98 F150 4.6 with headers. I was thinking about a si/do for my new '08 Supercrew but not if it's not loud. My buddy at work is puttin on a 32in Cherry Bomb today, can't wait to hear it.

you went from 1 muffler deading the 8cylinders to 2 mufflers deadening the sound-you didn't think it would be louder did you?

Is $350 out the door for Magnaflow HFC a good price?

I would say that is a good price if they are supplying the cats. I think I paid $156.00 for my cats from performance peddler and $160.00 to intall them for a total of $316.00. If you do have it done, have the muffler shop give you your old ones and take them to the scrap yard, they will give you $50-$75 for them.
