Smile Magnaflow help

I am looking at getting a magnaflow cat back system for my 2005 Supercab short bed. The model # is 16614. My concern is that magnaflow says it may need to be customized because I have a factory hitch. Has anyone installed this before and if so, what problems did you run into? I am pretty handy, but I can not weld. Any input would be great! Thanks

i was also thinking about getting this setup. i found on the website where it says it will fit the factory hidden hitch only without modifications. so if u have the factory hitch you should be ok. hopefully someone who has this setup already will chime in and confirm.

I'm looking at buying the same kit in a couple weeks. I did a search here and what I found was that the kit will fit with the factory hitch but the hole that's needed for the drivers side hanger is used by the lower bracket bolt for the hitch. Some guys went to the local muffler shop to get the bracket welded on while others modified it to bolt up without welds.

IMHO a catback is a waste. Buy the mufflers you want, get a x/h pipe and have it custom fabbed at a shop. Save $$$ and you know it will fit because you can watch them make it!

Unless your interested in a full stainless system, then the pre-bent kits are about your only choice.
