New straight pipe with 4" Tip...
New straight pipe with 4" Tip...
...installed today!
So my story is, I originally had a single Flowmaster 40 SI/DO w/turndowns before rear axle. Problem was the custom hangers they welded on kept breaking off (3 times to be exact),so finally last night I said F%$# it im gonna unbolt it from the flange and see if it will not be too obnoxious and because I didnt want it to break off and kill someone. It sounded better actually. So today I picked up a Dynomax 3"in/4"out slash cut S.Steel Tip. Then i cruised to my muffler shop and had them install a pipe,no muffler, pointed out the pass. side in front of my rear tire and weld the Tip on. Cost me forty bucks total and the tip was $43. For eighty bucks it is the sickest sounding exhuast I have heard on a truck. Adding that pipe and tip changed the sound even more and it seriously has a mean Gargle like a full exhaust mustang. It barks loud but that perfect loud ya know. My plan though is to buy the Bassani Catback to pass inspection and maybe if it sounds better keep it on(doubt it). I always wasnt sure of a straight pipe sound but I highly recommend it and its cheap just have a back up for inspection time. Ill try to get pics up soon.

so does the flowmaster at least sound good? I have a magnaflow dumping out before the rear tire and its week!!!!!!! i have a stang with full exhaust...and it makes the F150 sound like a blender....super quiet and week. I was going to mount a 40 series and dump it before the tire again...do you think its even worth it...since your like me and like loud.
