x pipe help???

hey whats up guys,
i was wondering what the true advantages to to adding an x-pipe to my exhaust. i have true duals with flowmaster super 40's with a k&n CAI, will it make it any louder either? or would it be better to do high flow cats?

thanks for help

No it will not be louder it will reduce the popping I believe and make for a better sound, but a little quieter. I would do high flow cats AND X pipe

Love my X, it is usually a rule of thumb that a crossover will add 5hp or more, It will change the sound and made mine louder, I love the way mine sounds. Some vids are in my sig.

pressure builds up in each bank and each side of the exhaust alternately throughout the firing order and subsequently causing spikes in backpressure that affect scavenging and overall exhaust flow. Adding a crossover such as an H or an X allows those spikes in pressure to be released into the other side decreasing backpressure and improving flow throughout the RPM range. X's have much improved scavenging characteristics and smoother transitions leading to a better flow than the standard H - but any type of crossover >>> one without
