hi first time posting, does anyone kno how a flowmaster 40 series muffler would sound on the 4.2 if i just swap out the stock muffler for the flowmaster?

 

A guy in my local club just did that last week. Its sounds pretty good, has a nice rumble for a v6 at idle and its not ricey sounding at all. Next time we have a meet I'll try to get some sound clips of it. Personally I'm going true duals with Cherry bomb extremes on my 4.2

 

Friend of mine has 2 chamber flows on his v6 chevy and it sounds great.

 

ive got flowmaster 40 on my truck with a turndown, swapped it from the stock muffler. its not loud but it sounds good. im thinking about getting duals out the back now, im tired of the turndown.

I use to have a 50 series flowmaster and it sounded o.k. I now have a si/do cherry bomb extreme and i am very happy with it.

 

do you have a sound clip of it with the cherry bomb?

 

I tried to get one with my digital camera but it must be to much for the camera to handle.

can you just swap out the stock muffler and throw a cherry omb on there? The cherry bomb is alot smaller so wouldnt you have to either add pipe or completly take out the pipes and replce them, or what?
