Big Problem!!

ok, i was starting to take my exhaust off and everything was goin good. all the 02 sensors came off easy and everything behind the manifolds came off great. so then that just leaves the exhaust manifolds to be taken off, but first i had to take the EGR off. so i have been sprayin it with PB blast for the past couple of days, well i started to loosen the EGR and it put up a little fight but it started to break loose. so i kept loosening it and it got easier and easier and then SNAP!!!, the EGR tube right above the fitting cracked. is there anyway i can fix this because i really want my EGR to work when i put my headers on so if there is any way to repair this please let me know because i would like to finish my headers tomorrow so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. please tell me there is a way to fix this even if it is just temporary so i can drive it on sunday. Thanks

Well yes! when I finished the install on my headers; the directions failed to mention the egr tube will usually be to large and will not line up.... measure it and if that is your case cut a piece out and weld it back together.. hope that helps ?

yes i do have acess to a welder so that is a solution. what is the EGR tube made out of? will i be able to weld it with a basice wire fed arch welder? and where do you think i would be able to find a peice of tube that would fit over it?

well its super stout!!!! to be honest not really sure what type of steel its made out of.... you could clean it up where it broke and go down to the local hardware store and buy a coupler and weld it together... the arch welder should do fine .. hope it work out for ya.?
