Catless Exhaust???

I have an '07 F-150 supercab FX4 and I have two magnaflow mufflers w/tips for duals. I am wanting to "gut" my catalytic converters for better sound and airflow. I did this on my '03 Mustang GT. I gutted the cats and eventually replaced it all with a catless X-pipe. I then had to install the MIL eliminators for check engine light. Are there any F-150 exhaust parts out there without cats. How about MIL eliminators if I decide to gut my cats. Please help! Thank you.

i cut my factory Y-pipe at behide the rear o2 unbolted from the manifold and took the cats to my muffler shop and told them i wanted pipe bent like that...without the cats...80 bucks for both down pipes with o2 bungs in there... ive heard alot of people gutting just the back cat so there o2 senors still work without MIL sims....just get a set of longtubes But if you want catless pipe take your stock down pipe with the cats off take it to a muffler shop and have them custom bend some 2.5" pipe to bend and flow like your cat down pipe....should be about 80-120 bucks

Same MIL elims should work for the truck, o2's are the same, A nice set of high flow cats would work best and you wouldn't need the MIL elims. Have a custom setup made.

Good afternoon all,

I was wondering a couple of things on this topic. I have an 05' f-150 5.4 liter with stock manifolds on it along with the cats. From the cats back I have true dual flowmasters. Is there a way to install long tube headers with the cats still in place for emissions purposes and would there be any noticable hp gains if I went that route. I will be purchasing the X-cal 3 with Dyno tunes from Strictly Performance here in houston and want to make sure I have all the necessary mods in place for best performance as well as maintaining Texas Emissions compliance.

Thanks

PS the truck is a King Ranch F-150
Mods are:

Roush Cold Air Intake
Flowmaster true dual
Cuperships Flashpaq

Yea, you will have to have the pipes custom made from collector to the cats and from there to the current setup. Shouldn't be too hard for a exhaust shop to do, high performance cats would be a route as well. Long tubes are great for torque and low end gains.

thanks joshmac4.6! I am looking forward to adding the long tube headers now that I know I will not compromise my emissions. My truck is my daily driver so that is important to me...

thanks again
