You want that loud sound? Just buy an offset SI/SO flowmaster super44. I am running the super44, and it is LOUD, especially if you dump it (which i recommend). It wont cost much at all, 100 bucks for muffler and installation if you get it to just replace the stock muffler.

This is my super44, with dual tips out the back. Notice it is friggin loud, and if you dump yours, it will be even louder.

Keep in mind, this is with all windows closed except the back sliding window, and at 4000 ft elevation with 400 pounds of tools in the bed. at sea level and with windows down and an empty bed, on the premium tune(which i run now), it is alot louder and a hell of a lot faster.

I run true duels w/ no mufflers on my 97' 5.4. They say this is as loud as it gets w' cats. Next I'm putting two Magnaflow High Flow cats in place of the 4 stockers. This should help performance and sound (louder).

I have the 4.6 V8 and I took it into the muffler shop this weekend and had them whack off the stock muffler and weld in a SI/SO 18" Magnaflow and put a stainless tip on it. Total cost was $120 and the sound is worth a million bucks. I now have a really nice deep throaty sound that really grabs your attention but isn't so loud that your neighbors are going to hear ya when you drive by. It is also nice in the cab with no over powering exhaust sound. I am like the others here who highly recommend the Magnaflow.

Getting rid of the stock cats will also help with sound
