Installed the high flow cats (video)
I installed two Magnaflow high flow cats and I ordered them on line @ performancepeddler.com for I think $158.00 with shipping. redneckhunter24 I had everything done at Tony's Custum Exhaust that is in Glen Burnie. The shop is pretty close to you, if you need the information let me know and I will email it to you. If there is anyone that is on the fence about doing this to their exhaust, do it you will love it.
hahaha i went tonys shop to ask them about running a true dual system and they told me there was no way i could run two hi-flows with an x-pipe and two mufflers. they told me they could use catco cats at $260 each and it would be a $1000 job for my exhaust. i dont think the one guy who looked under my truck knew what he was talking about. he told me they had never put an x-pipe on an f150 and it wouldnt fit. i told him it would work and they didnt believe me. i think i might get the hi-flows and x-pipe from troyer and maybe take it all to tonys or marvins.
maybe if you could email me and give me an idea on pricing and a few other questions, that would be great. thanks.

Wow, that's the first Magnaflow exhaust that I actually like! Sounds good! Do you happen to have a video before the highflows? Also does your exhaust pop/cackle just on cold starts or all the time?
I'm thinking I need some highflows!

I don't have a video of before the high flows were put on, I wish I did. The pop/crack you hear is only when you rev the engine. I beleive you will get that with any exhaust that has been opened up to flow better. I had to go back and watch the video again to hear it. I could be wrong but the only time that is heard is when it's being reved up. If your thinking of the high flows go for it you will love it.
There's more than just one type of Magnaflow HF cat (not sure why yet) - just like the variation in mufflers (off-set vrs. straight threw). I wasn't aware of the different cat styles when I purchased mine. I like the type Roush used on his install. Kind off jealous of all the room you guys have underneath with the 2wd trans. With the E4OD/4R100 4X4 set up - It's fricken tight under there!!
Anyway, 01Roush has pictures of his HF's linked in his install thread - I'll post a pic of mine so you can see the physical differences.
BTW - Bassani , from what I've heard , makes a nice HF cat as well.

that sounds great man, defiantly getting high flows for mine when get the money this summer.
Have a few questions though. Did you have them just weld the new cats into the factory Y pipe or did you get the Y pipe piece and have them fab the rest of the piping for the Y pipe set up?
