Flowmaster Question

i'm a huge flowmaster fan and would like to put one on my 02 F150 with the 5.4L. i used to have a 4.0L ranger with a 40 series flowmaster (chosen because it is the loudest series) on it and it sounded great but i'm worried that if i put a 40 series on a 5.4L it will crack (my brother put a 40 series on his 4.3L sonoma with duals and it cracks pretty badly), which i want to avoid at all costs. there is a 50 series that is slightly quieter than the 40 series and seems more suited for larger displacement engines. any input would be appreciated, past experience, tech articles read, etc. thanks.

thanks + follow-up questions

that does sound great, you said that it is a Super 40 Series? i know this is being nit-picky but do you happen to remember how high your RPMs were when you revved it in the video? i only ask because sometimes an exhaust won't crack unless it's at a fairly high RPM. also what diameter tailpipes did you use? thanks.

Ok Im wanting something a little louder, but not so loud that I see red and blue lights in my truck everytime I look in the rearview, would a flowmaster 40 be good for this, or should I go with something else, it sounds really good, but its hard to tell how loud something is just by a vid clip. Thanks

I have the Flowmaster 40, SIDO and I don't consider it loud at all. It has a nice throaty sound and you hear it on acceleration, but not real loud.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards going with the 3 inch SI/SO muffler with a single 3 inch tailpipe that exits at the stock position except it will exit at a 45 degree angle instead of the factory 90 degrees.
