Hey guys I have saved up some money for this system. Ihave an 07 5.4 with tunes, efans, pulleys, 3.5" AF1 intake, and magnaflow siso. Do you think these things will really make difference. Just wanted to see what you thought. Thanks

yes buy them, you will love em. I gained 30hp/35ftlbs with my old engine which had cams and higher compression, but still, you will feel the difference for sure!

DO IT! These headers are friggen powerhouses. you mentioned you have a cai intake and some preexisting exhaust work... i strongly recommend you cut out the stock y pipe, and run one pipe from each header back, (a true dual setup) in order to keep airflow at an optimal level past those headers. with your current setup, you would lose flow from the headers by shoving air from two headers into one pipe, and therefore, decrease power.

That is not entirely true, though in this case probably is close. In theory, you can route mulitple pipes into fewer pipes (that's what the headers themselves do, no?) and not lose any power at all. A single 3" exhaust will out-flow dual 2" exhaust by a lot. I don't think that the Magnaflow SISO is going to create enough of a bottleneck that you 'lose power' persay, but you might not realize the full flow potential of the motor and headers. I say add the headers and enjoy the gains, and later on convert to a true dual exhaust if you feel the need.

like i said, the best setup for realizing power potential would be a true dual setup. this is pretty much a custom setup only type approach.

How much does these run for? Do you have to re-tune afterwards?

they run about 14-1500 bucks for the whole system and when I talked to mike he said 99% of the time you do not need to have anything done to your tunes

no need to retune after a full exhaust. however, "canned tunes" don't do well w/ these sorts of setups. To the OP, with true duals, you can go w/ either one DIDO muffler, or two SISO's. If not doing true duals, stick with one SISO, you may actually lose potential torque with a SIDO. With my DIDO setup, I went with a DIDO magnaflow. The most important thing is the brand of muffler. Stick with the ones that show proven power gains, ie, magnaflow, borla, corsa, etc. STAY AWAY FROM FLOWMASTER!
