Help Needed

I have an 04 F150 FX4.. it has a 5.4

I am trying to decide what exhaust to get for my truck and I am not sure what would sound the best. I know that this truck has like 6 cats... I don't want to mod the cats at all because I heard it can mess other things up.

I was a simi loud.... deep sound.. I was thinking about taking off the muffler and getting straight pipes or getting a flowmaster 40

What is the best idea for this truck?

Thanks for helping a girl out!

I have an 07 Screw with the 5.4L and have had the Roush Off Road exhaust on for a week now and I have absolutely no compliants. I would recommend this exhaust. There are a couple of threads with sound clips on here as well.

Check out Magnaflow and Corsa too!! Otherwise the Roush is great too!!

I'd steer clear of the Flowmasters just from what I've read on this form...
You'll end up with a drone in the cab...
Not sure about Drone on the Roush...
The Mangaflow and Corsa very low if any!! x2

I personally will be putting on a Magnaflow muffler with turn downs!!

Give it a month.

You'll definately love it then!

Tone gets deeper, and it gets a bit louder too.

I am going to look into the Roush Off Road exhaust, it seems like most people support that one.. I was told that my truck has like 6 cats on it... will the exhaust still sound good without modding them? I was hoping to find someone with the same truck that has good exhaust.. I dont want to spend lots of money and not be happy! Im sure everyone knows what I mean there!

My truck is an '07 supercab with the 5.4... All the cats..,. all stock ... except for the Roush Exhaust.. Sound is excellent.. I was worried too about the system not being loud enough or not sounding quite right. All I can say is I am totally satisfied. It is just right!

Another vote for Magnaflow.

Quite at idle, awesome sound when on the gas, and little to no drone inside the cab.
