There's an outside chance I'll get to the install tomorrow. If not, it'll be sometime next week. Either way, I'll give you my $0.02.

Back to the instructions...I pay attention to the effort companies put into instructions as I believe it says something about them. A lot of automotive aftermarket suppliers don't invest much time/effort into this because by the time you get their product and their instructions, they have your money. On the other hand, my initial impression of SB is very positive because they obviously expended some time/effort into their instruction sheets. I hope I'm as happy with their product. Suspect I will be.

I feel the same way about restaurants and their bathrooms. A trashy/dirty bathroom tells me what the restaurant owner thinks about his customers.

Which backs up what I was saying before... S&B is high quality and has a very good product/customer support. Let us know how the install goes and how you like it.

Had some time this afternoon. Installed the SB. Instructions clear. No fitment problems. Appearance-wise it's well above average. So is workmanship. If there was one feature I really liked it would be the soft/rubber pieces that connect the harder pieces. It's much more pliable, almost slippery, so there was no struggling to get the pieces together. Others have been tough. So, as long as everything holds together I'm a happy camper. Nice sound, too, but I'm sure this is no different than the others. Oh, one other thing w/regard to the appearance...the clear plexi cover over the box/filter is a real nice touch.

OK I have been wanting a CAI since I did my roush off road cat back. AF1 was in the running till I called and the 07 4.6 is still in development stage its 2008 why has this not hit the market? oh well . Next call was to Roush asking them if they had a 07 4.6 CAI on the market they do but its not listed on the web site the PART # is 402-867 the 06 is #402-100 to make a long story short If you order a Roush make sure you get the right one ebay is passing 04 to 08 as the same part . I talked to Mike at Woodhouse today and told him about my finding they had the part #402-100 for a 07 as well he is going to make the change. Hes one of the best parts guy to deal with by far So I order the Roush from Woodhouse Best price on the net and top service.

I've installed maybe six or seven intakes over the last few years, multiple manufacturers on a variety of cars...a GTO, a few Fords, my wife's Charger, etc. Always one of the brands you read about here. Never had problems with any of them.

I just ordered/received an SB intake for my '07 4.6. There is one striking difference I have noted and and I haven't even begun to install the kit. It's the instructions. Not that installing a CAI is brain surgery, but I gotta tell ya, SB has put a lot more time & effort into preparing their instructions. In the past, I've seen everything from 27th generation xerox copies to confusing generic instructions. If this is any indication of the quality of the SB product, I'll be pleased.
so your basically saying that if i get one off of ebay, there wont be much difference than if get a different one, they are all basically the same??? how much of a difference is there ???

The difference in ebay vs quality name brand is the quality of the filter media. The ebay one may have been made in a shady shop in china and you dont know how well it filters. Just because its pink doesnt mean it filters well.

The other thing is warranty. I know S&B and K and N have million mile warranties so if you ever have a problem with the intake it will get taken care of... good luck trying to get an ebay seller to give warranty any filter.

My opinion/comments about there not being much difference assumes we're comparing the major brands. Will post some pics of the SB soon.

Check out this site. I was very pleased with the instructions and with how it performs. Nice growl when you put your foot in it and when driving the kids around town I picked up almost 2MPG's.
