i speak from experience-my van weighs 9klbs if i even lost a small bit of torque i would have had the single oem exhaust back on in a heartbeat!i gained across the board in tq,i make over 300 ftlbs at 2000 rpms and it stays there till 4300 rpms where it starts to drop-sizing it right using a x pipe and using free flowing mufflers is the key-like i said i speak from personal experience and i wouldn't steer a member wrong

Like phil said if you set it up properly you will not have any torque loss!! You will gain torque and have a better sound, just use a quality straight through design muffler like magnaflow or the dynomax bullets.
