Airforce 1 Heatshield

I have a few questions For everyone w/ an AF1 on a 2004-2007

1) Is your heat shield painted?

2)Does the rubber weather strip go from the fender side to the front lower edge like this one...

(from irishfx4's gallery)

3) Did yours come with the rubber strip for the tube opening?

My heat shield is painted, The weather stripping is too short, and no weatherstrip for the tupe opening... WTF? i just gave it a once over when i got it since its a 3.5" and i am waiting for my tunes. did not really notice this stuff until today!!

That does look like it is cut to short. Take a look at my pics. The AFE I have goes all of the way to the right and front.

1. My heat shield is painted.

2. The weather stripping was only long enough to cover the top postion of the shield.

3. Mine didn't come with the rubber on the intake tube hole.

I called AF1 this is what they said...

1. Heatshields are now painted

2. rubber piece is only supposed go over top area. He said that they will start to ship the rubber boot long enough to go down the front for aesthetics reasons

3. the rubber trim piece (tube opening) will be mailed to

I have a 3" AF1. My rubber goes all the way across the top and down the front. I was told that the blue rubber piece in that picture he put on him self. Am i wrong? If so who did you call to get them to send you one? Let me know.
