broken header bolts?

broken header bolts?

4.6 motor 1998 f150 is it common for the header bolts/studs to break off and how hard is it to get to them? should i just give it to a exaust shop?

my friends bolts broke off on his truck, the guys at the dealer said they replaced a few like that, if thats any help. It depends on your want and ability to get the bolts out

VERY common....

Find someone who can weld a nut onto the broken stud, and take it there.
I'd try to replace both manifolds, all studs/nuts, and the manifold to egr tube at once. The bolt/nut that connects the manifold to the exhaust is special too.

It ain't cheap!
