Cherry Bombs

trying for that gut rattling sound with use of a 2 high flow cat rather than 4 wanting true dual set up on short headers to one maggy high flow cat and o2 sensors in front and behind that cat to a cherry bomb (2.5 tubing all around by the way) that exits in front of rear tires

what length of cherry bomb or smitty glass pak or other brand give best tone and is loud as hell?

i would go with cherry bomb extreme muffler instead of the glass pack. 6" long case single chamber, its loud and deep and a great tone, not as raspy as some glass packs can be

I like the magnaflow magnapacks (stainless glasspack), I have them on my mustang and they are nice and throaty and just get deeper with age.

i got mine pretty cheap $44 shipped from www.performancepeddler.com and did their best offer option. They come in si/so and si/do but since they're so cheap i'd go for two si/so to come after the cats. you can put in an x-pipe or h-pipe between the cats and mufflers if you want also. here's a clip from the cherry bomb website of an 05 4.6L http://www.cherrybomb.com/manager/pr...d_F150_4-6.mp3 doesn't say what mufflers are on it but my guess is either pro or extreme
http://cherrybomb.com/sound-pad.html here you can here a mustang GT with the extreme

The less cylinders a muffler has to work with the louder it is. Ever hear a quiet Harley? So if you have 2 mufflers instead of 4 the noise level goes up.

the above statement is very true. I had a Y pipe with dual tailpipes a while before I put on true dual 2.0" (no mufflers on either setup) and the true duals are a he// of a lot louder.
If you want the earth-shattering loud sound, go hi-flo's and true duals with no mufflers...i doubt you'll be able to stand it it will be so loud.

Check out some exhaust clips on YouTube, they've got a bunch

If all you want is loud, then i say the cherry bomb extremes, just be prepared for a server drone at 70mph. i have the same setup you are getting and im about to have them run out the back cause the drone on long trips is not worth the noise. hope this helps jared

I've got true duals with some no-name glass packs on mine. It sounds ok for a 4.2. I'm not real happy with the look of it, but I don't crawl under the truck very often so it's no biggie.

I'll be swapping them from some real mufflers soon.
