At those prices those are just headers though, by the time you buy or fab up a mid pipe you are well over $1000. I chose OBX, copies of the Dynatech, $459 with a (catless) mid-pipe and I'll weld in some high-flows. Are they as good as Dynatech? Don't know....for the price I'll risk it. Should have some good visual opinions when they show up next week and istall feedback within a few weeks after that...

OBX is Chinese **** made using inferior steel and labor processes. Keep in mind the vast diffrence in skilled labor among American workers and Chinese. The American makes more in an hour than the Chinese in a day or two! Of course, this will naturally affect quality as well... Since you have already bought the headers, closely examine all the welds for defects. You may also have fitment and other quality control issues as well. Granted, this can be corrected by an exhaust shop, but when I do something, I am willing to spend the cash to do it right the first time, rather than having to do it again, and ultimately spend more money.

If this sounded at all like actual experience rather than generalized opinions it might mean something.... Machines in China bend pipes just like machines here do. If there happens to be a questionable weld I'll fix it, though I don't expect any from feedback I've found (those who have actually bought and installed the product). Would I rather buy Dynatech made in America? Of course!! If they weren't overpriced by about $500 I would.... I'll have about $650 into a setup that will perform the same, and for the difference in price I can throw in several more mods. You wanna spend $1500 for headers and mids knock yourself out, I'm all about getting as much as I can out of whatever budget I set...

shifty_85, I've looked at the Pacesetters but at that price they are mild steel and painted, and that doesn't include a mid-pipe so by the time you add that you are close to the OBX price for stainless.

do a search and look at the guys who have gone with the OBX and you'll see they are quite happy with them

what do you need a mid pipe for? just get a pipe with a 3 bolt flange on it right? im going to get those pacesetters i know that paint will come off in like a month im not worryed bout it. im going to get those headers with cut outs from summit and then run threw my muffles. should be fun!

Well, unless you expect the exhaust to jump from open collectors into the inlets of your cat-back, you'll need something in between.....

You can have a shop bend something up if you want, but you still need to add that cost to the headers when comparing to a system that includes those pipes....

Shifty , the "mid pipe" is after the Y . The "intermediate pipe" is the cross-over after the cat. In case you don't know. I get those two mixed up.
