MBRP Cat Back

Happy New Year All,

My first post but I've enjoyed reading and researching this forum for some time now. There have been a few threads on MBRP for our trucks and experience and whatnot. There some feedback though not as much as the more popular guys like magnaflow. After a good month of digging for info on a system for my truck (supercrew, 6.5' bed) I've ordered my MBRP single exhaust/side exit.

I wanted to pass on www.performancetruckproducts.com, hopefully appropriately. I found the best price (by far) and a real nice guy running the show over there who has helped me. Anyone looking to get this system should have a look there.

If you're interested I'll let you know how I like the exhaust and ease of install.
And on a side note, 95% of my decision was based on info from this forum. Thanks for a great reference.

If you dig up any of my past posts, you will find that MBRP makes very nice systems that have a fit and finish second to none. I have installed many of their systems for diesel applications and currently run their cat-back on my 2007 6.0L crewcab. I am very interested in your findings and am considering the same if I drop down to a 2008 F-150 Supercrew again in a month or two. I want a side exit behind the wheel (both sides), and MBRP is about theonly one who has this system. I tried the Magnaflow last year, on my 2007 F-150 I had, but it never impressed me like the Roush Off Road. Unfortunately, the Roush heads straight out the back (duals) an points at my travle trailer. Keep us updated, and I'll expect a video, too.

you bet, very familiar with your posts on MBRP. Glad I took the time to find out about 'em. The 6.5' config is tough if you don't want them straight out the back so this system was a perfect fit......will let you know..

I also just ordered an MBRP system from performancetruckproducts for my supercrew 6'5", I got the duals behind the rear wheels. It is the best price around. Living in Hawaii it will take a little longer to get here, but when I do get it and put it on I'll let you know how it goes. I had one on my last truck ( 02 Dodge Dakota 4.7) and loved it, I'm sure this one will be just as sweet if not sweeter with the 5.4.

Aloha,
Jimbo

Well, after a couple of delays the package finally arrived.

I decided I had no time this weekend to install, figured there was no way I could let it sit a few days, so I had a local shop throw it on for a small fee. Hurt the pride a little to do this but they got the time and tools and the pride has healed very quickly.

MBRP Single-in 3.5" T304 stainless throughout, single-out behind rear wheel exit......Now, I have had no time to get used to it (just a quick trip to work), but going from stock to this system has knocked me for a huge loop. I honestly had no idea the unbelievable tone this thing would generate. Straight up, yes, I have sound in the cab. It's brand new though and I'm just not used to it yet so I'm not worried right now. But the sound outside is something absolutely fierce. Can't quite describe it yet.

Those of you waiting for yours, put your fear of dissatisfaction to rest. Wow, that's all I can say.

I'll get back to you when I get some time with it. And I'll try for a good sound clip but I don't know that you can do this or any like system any justice with a video recorder.

I am still waiting on mine. I ordered it through a package deal with Troyer as it was cost effective, but MBRP must have it backordered.
