so i've been looking at a bunch of exhaust set ups and i have no idea what i want to get. I love dual exhaust sounds with the 5.4l but the 4.6l just don't seem to sound the same. Unfortunatey i have a 4.6l,i love the flowmaster sound but not that it takes away lower end torque, and i want something to have a nice deep rumble and to be pretty loud, any ideas on what to do?

Cat back dual straits sound great with 4- 4.5 inch tips! I wouldn't let my pipe be bigger than 2.5 though.

The slowmaster super 44 si/do sounds great on a 4.6 too. I do advise getting a bigger tip than what is offered in any of the cat back systems.

Just my opinion.

I have Flowmaster and 2.5 pipe with big tips . I love it and do not think I have lost anything on low end.

I'd say get what you know sounds good. I wouldn't be too worried even if the Flowmaster loses a little on the lower end (not saying it does). It'd be minimal at best and pry not noticable. I assume you aren't using your truck to pull, drag, etc...
