Just wondering who in here is running straight pipes, i guess you could say i am, cut off everything from the muffler back so its just the manifolds into the cats (i hate that theres 2 cats on each side) and then just a y pipe dumped under the truck, eventually ill cut the cats off and put on an x pipe with tru dual straight pipes out the back. I love the sound of straight pipes on my truck 97f150 4x4 4.6. Who else?

 

Ive got true dual straight pipes, still have all 4 cats, 2.5" all the way out to 3 1/2" tips, its decent

 

I dont care who you are but when It comes to straight pipes, Dont nothing sound better than the 97-03 body style in a 4.6. I have an 06 5.4 and It dont sound near as good as my buddys.

 

yeah, my 97 sounds perfect with straight pipes, cant wait to get the full exhaust work done
