Hi, I have a 98 with a 5.4 and I just got the two rear cats(the main ones) cut out. I already had true duals with 12" glass packs, now its quite a bit louder when I'm on it, and has a lot throatier sound. I'd say go for it.

hey, I have had my rears out for about 2000 miles now and I have not thrown a code yet. I have heard from others on this site that you are safe on a 97-99 truck. Good luck.

It is illegal for "THEM" to modify the CAT setup from factory. However, "NORMALLY" if they didn't see nothing, they don't know nothing. Get the drift?

Cut'em out, put in some flex pipe, and take your stuff to the shop and say it's broke fix it. It is legal that they fix a broken cat. LMAO If you are going through the trouble, cut them all out and go with the maggie high flows. Your truck will thank you for it!
