True duals on my 4.2... Mmm

I got my exhaust redone today. It's now true duals with glass packs. It sounds absolutely wonderful. It so deep and mellow in the low-range and cruising. I can barely hear it in the cab at idle, and when I stomp it, it doesn't sound really raspy like it did before with a single muffler.

Anybody questioning doing this - DO it... It's worth it.

Tony

No.. It's actually extremely ugly. The guy I go to is dirt cheap, but I guess he's not the smartest guy. It's pretty crooked looking if you actually crawl under it. I'm ashamed to show it off, but it sounds good. And for 150$?

Edit: Oh, and my headlights are drying in the garage right now..... And I gotta finish installing my CB tomorrow. Got the 4' whips on there with springer mounts... Whippage!

Yeah, I understand about the welding. I had a maglaflow welded in place of my stock muffler and the guy did a **** poor job. It cost just over 100 mbucks and sounded great, but it looked like crap. But what can you do after it's all finished. Of course now I have a Roush Off Road exhaust, no worries about quality there.

Well, hopefully you'll have pics posted soon of your visually appealing mods soon instead.

He used whatever the stock size is. He matched up the pipes then used and expander to slip them over and weld.

Stealth: Once the headlights are done, going to snap some pics.

Fixin to post another thread about this topic. Got some weird noises going on.

Sound clips?

I've never heard true duals on a 4.2L... I've heard 'em on 3.0L and 4.0L Rangers and thought they were pretty good sounding in the lower RPM range (except for the popping).

Whips look good! I don't have springs on mine. I don't like how they "lay down" at highway speeds... Lookin' good!
