True duel magnaflows?
True duel magnaflows?
Hey guys I want to get true dual magnaflows with an x pipe. I was thinking of running 2.25" to keep my torque and hp as those are more important than sound to me. Any suggestions or feedback is appreciated.

All i can say is do it
You will not loose power anywhere if you do what you are talking about!! Also use the shortest Magnaflows you can find. (they're not that loud) Look in my gallery for pics.

Dont get 2.25" pipe, go with 2.5". You will have plenty of restirction from your cats, and stock manifolds. Smaller pipe is just going to make the exhaust more "poppy" sounding (but maybe your into that?) You are going to have a very hard time finding a shop that does mandrel bending too. That is another reason to go with 2.5" piping. Get the xpipe and 2, 14" magnaflows. It will sound sweet!
Was thinking of doing the same thing.. I all ready have some ford racing shorty headers, I want to get the magnaflow 2.5 high flow cat and y pipe set up and add a x pipe and two 14' magnaflow mufflers, would i lose power on a 5.4l? would it be better to to 2.25. piping?

With all the cats you have, 2.5" should be fine. There's quite a few shops that will do mandrel bent, just make sure you ask first if that's what you want.
Here is a good "general" reference for pipe diameter.

Its always something when you go to finalize! This should be my last question. When getting the 2.5" piping just to make sure, I will need an x pipe with 2.5"??
