Just to be different, to have a hood scoop I haven't seen on any Ford F-150. I want to install a naca duct on the driver side of the hood. It would be fully functional. I have the factory aircleaner pod with a K&N drop in filter. I would run a flexible hose from the naca duct to a improvised connection on the air filter pod. Thus, I would have fresh cold air to the filter. Possible problem: water thru the naca duct getting into the pod, thru the air filter and into engine. My '86 Corvette had this problem until GM issued a water deflector. Would drilling drain holes in bottom of pod ahead of the filter do the job?
