hmm, not sure about this. several people here have the 3". I was talking to IrishFX4, he has the 3" intake on his 5.4L. If they only made a 3.5" for the 5.4L, then everyone would run very lean and need custom tunes for their truck. I believe the 3" kit is basically the 3.5", but has a piece inside about 7 inches long that narrows the inner diameter to 3". The 3.5" doesn't have the redux. There are definately two kits for the 5.4L made by AF1.

This is the one you want for the 5.4 2004 and up. http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...atalogno=16418

And the one for the 4.6 is model #16419 . Best thing to do is call Troyers and they will sort you out. I don't be leave they advertise the 3.5" one as you need a custom tune to run it. I was real confused when i was getting mine as it was a 3.5" intake tube and i thought i ordered the wrong one. I called Troyers and they told me about the 7" piece inside the tube that narrows down to 3" hence making it the 3" version. Click on my little camera to see the pics i took of this. This is the model i got Item #: 16418.

I was gonna say that When you look at the different stage kits Troyer carries, it always says something like "for a small charge we can upgrade your intake to a more aggressive...." or something along those lines. To me that sounded like they sell the 3" which is listed, but if you want the 3.5" you need to contact them and I'm sure they'd tell you all about needing a tuner to go with it.
