Question About Dumping

I had a magnaflow on my truck that vibrated and broke the weld next to the magnaflow.

While I was ordering the new one and waiting I noticed that with that little air escaping from the exhaust my truck ran smoother and didn't vibrate at all.

This happens when i'm in drive not park or neutral

Now I replaced my magnaflow with the new one and now it vibrates again.

So I'm thinking that it's the pipes exiting on the back of my truck. I had someone drive behind me and sure enough the tip was shaking like crazy.

Now I'm looking to get a little more sound and get rid of this vibrating so I'm thinking about dumping the exhaust.

Now my questions are how much more sound will I get out of the exhaust and will it be annoying

and do you think this will get rid of the vibrating that's going on.

My concern is that I don't want to break another weld and have to replace my exhaust again.

Thanks

2000 F150 V6 XLT
Magnaflow 18 inch exhaust
stock pipes until y connector
3 inch pipe after that

Oh and I will upload some pictures later tonight when my girlfriend comes home with the camera

did the hangers for the tail pipes have the rubber spacing in them?

i think that is supposed to dampen the vibrations you are experiancing

yeah I have those hangers in 2 places after the exhaust

If I decide to dump the exhaust it will be after the first hanger.

Here let me take those pictures and I can show you what I'm talking about

Hey dude.i have a 40 series flowmaster dumped.my tailpipe is right over the rear end.i find is isnt too bad.my truck is a 05 with 4.6 and the sound level is about the same as straight out the rear except a little deeper.the interior resonance isnt bad either.at least to me dumping it isnt near as loud as you would think.now it may be where my pipe dumps too.i dont know if i helped any.

its usually a tad louder in the cab driving, and quieter in the cab at idle. I have a dynomax bullet dumped (4.6)

I had my y pipe cut out and ran dual dumps under the bed with no mufflers at all. On 03's 4.6's there are 4 cats so no need for a muffler. It sounds great, definitley not as loud as my avalanche was with no mufflers and straight pipe after the cats.

My trucks exhaust had some kind of counter weight on it stock. When i put my exhaust on i took it off cause i didnt know what it was and my exhaust vibrated pretty bad, bad enough to work some clamps loose in a few days. Anyways, i put that thing back on (had to dig it out of the trash) and it doesnt vibrate anymore
