1999 4.6 cat. question hlp plz...

1999 4.6 cat. question hlp plz...

k i got 2 high flow cats and i want to take off the 4 old ones. guy at the muffler place said truck will not run rite cause it will F up the computer too much. is this true.?

2 high flow cats, 2 super 44 flowmaster mufflers, and 2 12" tips.

now if i can get it to were i tie in the new cats where the old ones are,get new bunyens made for the o2 cencors be hind the cats ,then run to the muffles ect.... why will this not work?

As long as the "sensors" are behind the two high flows you won't have any problems, tell the guy at the muffler place he doesn't know what he's talking about. Then find yourself a better exhaust shop.

hey thanks for the info. everyone els agree with ParkM? not that i don't trust you but the more people tell me this is ok the better i feel! thanks again!

I don't see how high flows would "F up" the computer. Whats the difference when people install O2 elminators? The only thing I can think of is back pressure problems. But since you are installing a Flowmaster muffler....then that takes care of that. I believe that dude is full of poo.
