I want a LOUD Exhaust!
if you're wanting straight pipes (no mufflers) be sure to go with true duals...it sounds a lot better than a Y pipe with dual tailpipes..
ShiftFMX's truck is pretty close to what you'd have, but true duals are louder and more pronounced. I have them on my 98 4.6 with 2.0" pipe, tips out under the back bumper and it sounds really good, louder than ShiftFMX's, but of course not as raw as the open headers. And yes it does turn heads, as silly as it sounds ive been asked if my truck is supercharged, built, etc. My truck is completely stock, nothing special.
Give true dual straight pipes a try, youll like them.

Thanks for all the ideas! No straight pipes. Heard that police are cracking down on exhaust. I dont want to do headers or mess with the cats till Im out of warranty. It will be a while!

I agree. I don't think you'll have a problem running no muffler. The cats will keep some back pressure and quiet it down. No muffler is going to be that much louder than a Flowmaster Original 40 though. If anything run 2.5" true duals with Flowmaster Original 40s, if you're not going to do straight pipes.
To all of the guys who are saying run no cats, this is a 2006 F150 not a damn 1987 F250. Cats are necessary, end of story.

Ok listen, if you take off you cats or run staight pipes or gut your cats, your in serious trouble. By doing these things, your vehicle will lose backpressure which is critical to how such sophisticated cars and trucks of today run. By taking away backpressure, you can damage your engine, just do a little research on this fact.
I would recomend that you run an SLP Loudmouth cat-back system. You will get deep, LOUD, and aggessive tone. Trust me my brother got in on his GT and we could hear him start up and drive from the little auto shop at wall mart all the way from the main enterance. Also you keep back pressure but you can pretty much run stright pipes back from the cats becausre in this system you can get the racing mufflers that are just hollow tube that looks like a muffler so that it will pass emmissions. Trust me this is a great and loud buy!
