A great working combo?

I would like to keep it under $600 for both but dont mind going over a little bit. The reason is more power is a good thing and to help turn the 33's I plan on putting on my truck. So what is a good combo of exhaust and intake for my truck and needs. I am happy with the low end torque but when I am crusing I want more pick up there. So any help is greatness for me. Thansk for your time.
AF1 3" (no tune), 3.5" ( requires tuning) and Magnaflow 3" SISO SS catback.
This is item #2 and #3 in the three best bang-fer-buck mods you can add. Item #1 of course, is Custom tuning in an Xcal3, by TP.
If you only have $600, go with the tuner first. Save up for the other two later, of save up a bit more and you can get a 'combo deal on this package for a good price. You need to call' em for pricing. See the Supporting vendors section for contact info.
What you want is called a 'Stage one' package - http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...o=Stage104354C.. Note this page is a bit dated - call for latest info.

It would've helped had you supplied complete info up front.
Re-read my post; I gave you a 'no-tune' alternative.
Second - an enclosed filter will do bupkis even if you submerge the truck. It's all about filter maintenance, not enclosures.
You said you wanted the most power - no enclosed filter is going to match that AF1.
True quality components cost - you want to do it cheap? Good luck.
Personally, judging by how 'alloverthemap' your responses have been so far, I don't really think you know WTF you want, lol. Start getting friendly with the excellent search feature here.
Save yer money; the stock intake is actually not too bad in the 5.4L 3V, and you will not gain much at all power-wise from a simple catback.
Most of the gains come from the custom tuning but you don't want one, and so no real perf gains for you.... sorry, bad call. Enjoy yer truck as-is and put the coin saved toward yer diesel.
I'm done here. You're welcome.

Well, he's right ^^^^Your model is undertuned from the factory IMO . If I had a 2004 - present model , that would be the first place I would go and you have the money to do what needs to be done..Soooo, WTF..
If I had only 600 to spend on my truck, I'd call Troyer ASAP for some quality tuning
and then use the cash thats left for gas and maybe some Taco Bell

how come everyone uses troyer...what is it?? how come not alot of people on here like the custom programmers? i dont have any kind of tune so i have no room to speak for either but i would thing a a programmer that goes into the OBDII port would be the easyest thing to do and some for about 250-400 bucks alot cheaper than 600 on a troyer? just wondering not saying one is better than the other

1. It's "a LOT of folks here prefer TP's work". Where you got "how come not alot" beats TF outta me. lol.
2. ALL the flash tuners being discussed use the OBDII port.
2. It's NOT $600; unless you also specify the Cadillac Livewire tuner; otherwise, it's much less - enough to buy a LOT of the aformentioned burritos with the change, lol.
3. Lookie like YOU needs to engage dat ol' Search Engine too - ya got some BIG holes in yer socks, boy!

The reason that a lot of folks here on F150online like Troyer's tunes is that he and his shop specialize in tuning F150's.. It's what they do and they're damned good at it.
If I was budgeting $600 to spend on INITIAL mods, (once you get the mod bug ya ain't gonna stop at $600!!
), the first thing I'd do is order up tunes from Mike Troyer. The Xcal 2 with three custom tunes is no where near $600, as said earlier you'll have a pocket full of cash left over.. Best one-shot mod you can make!
Soon you will be seeking an intake and exhaust to maximize the gains that the tunes give ya...

As I dont plan on dumping a lot of money on it just when i can find a good deal on things like the rims and tires for it and then I am done. As by then I can be able to afford a diesel.

The edge is out as well . XCAL , you'll be better off.. Screw the wires because you don't have any.. Scrap the coils because the stock ones are just as good..You can have that K&N - Mine went in the trash... A 3.5 AF1 Intake DOMINATES..
Common Mannn - Do the sh^t right..
Change all that , you'll be up about 30HP and pass emissions.
